Tim just shot and directed the amazing Alla Kostromichova for Givenchy and Bergdorf Goodman in New York. The film commission was Bergdorf Goodman's first ever fashion film. The film and stills will be released mid May.

Friedrich Gray 'Refraction' Collection 2010 - Catwalk Installation

For the show I decided to create a kind of mirrored 'image machine'. A unique faceted chrome sculptural installation that multiplied and reflected the catwalk models - enhancing the presence of Ben's collection in the space.

To design and construct the installation I worked with architect Tim Manning. Tim works with computer software that meant we could model the installation in 3D. The modeling program enabled us to use state of the art laser cutting technology, making the structure largely self supporting so installation in the catwalk space would be far simpler.

Ben loved the approach - feeling that it complimented his use of layering and transparency within the collection.

Tim Richardson - Sydney Dance Company

Tim was recently commissioned to shoot his 4th consecutive campaign for the sydney dance company. He used state of the art 3D scanning technology to create 3D models of the dancers. The scans were then manipulated in both print (for the campaign) and motion for a 40ft video installation for Rafael Bonachella's latest work '6 breaths'.

Limited edition prints from the last 4 campaigns will be exhibited at the Sydney Dance Company and available for purchase.

Tim Richardson continued his collaboration with Rafael Bonachela for the SDC's 2010 campaign. exploring themes of gravity and modernism the campaign is a contemporary series of black & white dance portraits.

Tim Richardson - Friedrich Gray - 'Dislocation'

Featuring Emma Balfour's first film appearance, Tim Richardson recently directed the short film titled 'Dislocation' for Friedrich Gray's 2010 Collection.  Inspired by themes of science fiction and graphic geology the short film will be both online and shown as an installation.  As well as a stills feature in December's issue of Vogue Australia.
